Alaska!

I'm going to live in Alaska for the next year and half, and I am wondering if anyone knowledgable can suggest clothing brands that will keep me from freezing to death. I'll be anywhere from Fairbanks to Juneau, so I'll definitely need the real cold weather stuff.

Look for anything with Thinsulate in it. 3M makes it and it makes everything warm warm warm. You should see a little tag on the clothing itself or on the tags.

It is just like living in Wisconsin or Minn. just wear sorel boots and warm jackets like carharts. that is all. hope you enjoy your time here, it is so beautiful to see and live ask me I have been here for 20 years and my husband has lived here all his life 40 years. Love to go to hawaii for vacation but wouldn't live anywhere else.

You may want to try LLBean. They make a lot of jackets and outdoor clothing.
