Hello,
I'm new the forum, but just got an email about a special to Amsterdam from my airport and it sounds like a great trip for spring break. I've never been to europe but I plan to this summer for a study abroad in Oxford. But anyway, is Amsterdam a good destination for spring break or European travel in general? How does it compare to the insanely priced (so I hear) Rome, London and Paris?
thanks to anyone who replies

As for Amsterdam, I can't say much as I haven't been there, but I have heard from others, and from the guidebooks, that isn't the cheapest place, but less than London, which I know is expensive, though I didn't find that Rome was that much. But, in Oxford are you going to the Oxbridge Program? If so, I went in 2003 and found that it was wonderful, have a good time, and if you have questions about it, I might be able to help. One last thing, you could always use Amsterdam as just a place to fly into, then take the train, or a easyjet/ryanair flight to somewhere cheaper, much of Eastern Europe is cheaper, and much less touristy than Western. Just a thought. _________________ In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on.
