Best deal to book a room on the gold coast

Hi everyone!

I am planning to come on the Gold Coast for holliday, but I cannot decide where to stay!
I would like to enjoy Surfers Paradise, and would like to be really close to the beach. I heard that it's a really nice place to stay, is it true?

I also heard that Q1 is a really nice building, with a really nice view all over the place, is it true? I saw some pictures, it seems to be really nice.

I really hope that someone will be able to help me... I look forward to hearing from you and to enjoy my stay on the Gold Coast...

ps: as a student, I don't have much money to spend. Could you advise me as well on the dates that I should choose to get best deals?

I found some websites on the net to book rooms online, but I am not sure if I can trus them... Could you tell me if it is ok to book from one of them from overseas?
