Elusive DealAlert deals

I have been receiving the StudentUniverse DealAlerts for several months. I often see a tempting fare in the email, but when I try to find that fare I have no luck. For example, this morning the email said there was a "Weekend Getaway" ticket from Seattle to Denver for $226 round trip. But I searched dozens of date combinations for this weekend and next weekend and could not find a similar fare (usually there were no student tickets available). What weekend is this deal available, and how am I supposed to know?

The same thing happens every time I look for a flight advertised in the emails. I have no idea why I even try finding those fares anymore. Maybe the emails need to be more specific.

I also agree with other posters who have recommended a grid showing what dates student tickets are available, like the "flexible dates" option on Orbitz.
