Here's a big tip for you: If you fly during the middle of the week, it's usually much cheaper than flying over the weekends.
Your friends were probably able to get cheaper airfare because 1) their trips were less than two weeks long, or 2) they didn't travel over the summer. Also, airfare is more expensive this year because of the price of gasoline.
However, if you check dates on orbitz from Kansas City to London from May 22 to June 15, you'll find a rate for $726. If you keep your eyes open, maybe you can do even better than that.... right now, to buy for this summer, though, any airfare less than $800 for a trip over two weeks is a pretty good deal. |

The price WhirledPeas found is probably going to be the lowest one, since after May, all prices will really rise. If you could go in September, or even earlier in May you might find lower fares. _________________ In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on.

Yeah sorry thats what I thought too- sounded way too expensive. But apparently its the going rate. I would however having just gone through the process if you are a student go to your local STA agency should be on campus. They can get you a decent rate- or find you one.
Otherwise- yeah that 800 flight is very good!
I got a 690 deal from Charlotte, NC to London, then I am taking a cheap airline service to Munich my ultimate destination leaving in June like you want to. Summer is very hard to get cheap prices. Hope that helps! |
