hey guys i'm wondering if you guys could help me out with i'm planning a trip in 2008 with a friend of mine but he can only stay for 3 weeks but i'm planning on staying an extra 2 weeks. we plan on arriving in london first and i was wondering if this plan is do-able any suggestion would be great.
first 3 weeks we really want to go to...
london, amsterdam, paris, rome, venice, florence
do you guys know how i should break this up? should we see other cities on the way through other countries? i think the more cities the better for me i want to see it all.
my remaining 2 weeks i'd love to see maybe germany, belgium, scotland and ireland. what should i do with the remaining 2 weeks i have there!
my main problem is how should i divide the time between these locations. i don't know how long it takes from each places by train if anyone has a map that shows how long each ride from city to city it would be great.
if anyone can help me get started it would be greatly appreciated!!! |

It is possible to complete the first leg of your journey in 3 weeks. If you are taking a train, I would do London, Paris, Amsterdam, Venice, Florence, and Rome. I would spend no more than 3-4 days in each city. You are going to have to add in travel time, with the trip from Paris to Venice being the longest.
For the other 2 weeks, I think it will be difficult to see all of the places. I would either see Germany and Belgium or Scotland and Ireland. You should consider seeing Belgium on the first 3 weeks since you have to pass through it to go from Paris to Amsterdam.
Look at the locations in Google Maps. It will give you a good idea where everything is. I would also look at train timetables to get and idea of how long it will take to travel from place to place. You may as want to think about using a budget airline like easyjet or ryanair for your long distance trips like Italy to Ireland. |
