| Is it at all possible to get a ticket with a day or two layover? I've flown between San Francisco and the UK several times, and it's just brutal when I finally arrive, especially when there is a few hour layover somewhere. So would it be possible to get a ticket where instead of having, for example, a four hour layover, it'd be a twenty four hour layover, or longer, if necessary? |

Rachel,
Thank you for your question, sorry for the slow response. While airlines don't really let you book a layover, a lot of them do let you do a stopover. In terms of your quesiton, I think that would work, as a stopover can be for a day or two or months (depending on the airline).
Another tactic students use is to book two separate flights, say NYC-LON, then 2 days later LON-MAD. This can be a bit more expensive, but it gives you more flexibility as you'll get more flexibility in times and can choose different airlines, airports, etc.
If you would prefer to book a stopover, I would recommend calling our agents at 800-272-9676 and to book a stopover with them directly.
Thanks,
Phil |
