Hi,
My name is Sheryl and I am going to spend Spring semester 09 in Finaland and I would be interested in what kind of fares you can find for me. I have provided the info you request behind each request.
I NEED From You:
-Dates needed: flying out January 31st and returning May 6th
-Cities you can fly out of or into (preferred city and ones you can go into/ out of if it is cheap)I have to fly out of MSP and I need to get to Helsinki Finland
-How flexible you are for all of the above (e.g. dates etc)I am not flexible on the airports leaving from or arriving at but I can be somewhat flexible on date of departure and arrival back home although I have to be home by May 7th.
-Times of flights- (and how flexible those times are)Cheapest is best! Don't care about what time.
-Preferred airline carrier Not important
-Non-stop if possible or connections (and price you are willing to pay extra if non-stop) Not important
-Student status (if you are or not)Student traveling to study for semester in Finland.
-OK to layover in London then take a low cost carrier from London the rest of the way- e.g. Ryan Air etc. Yes
Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Dates: Heading out around May 19 (as early as May 16, late as May 22). Coming back anywhere between August 11 and August 18. So I am very flexible on dates, whatever is the best deal.
Cities: Fly out of Seattle…maybe Vancouver if it is really worth it, but Seattle is much better. Not very picky about where I fly into…anywhere in UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, or Norway.
Time: Very flexible
I am a student. Layovers are okay, I will just be bringing a carryon.
Basically whatever is cheapest and out of Seattle in the general time. Thanks a ton!!! |

| Me and a couple of my college friends are trying to plan a trip to Europe, but we are on a tight budget. We need to fly from either the DFW or Houston airport. We are wanting to travel to France, Spain, England, Ireland, Germany, Italy, and The Netherlands. It does not really matter what airline we travel with (the cheaper the better). We were planning to leave anytime after the 15th of May and are planning to stay for a month to a month and a half. I really appreciate you doing this for us. Thank you so much! |

Thank you very much for your help.
I want to plan a trip to italy this march. The dates would range from march 6 to the 15th with a few days flexability. And flexible with times of flights as well. We are located in indianapolis, but I will look at trying to get connecting flights to DC, NY, boston etc. I would like to do the whole trip for 1500$ if that is possible, if not then whatever a reasonable rate is. Im not sure what city I would like to fly into, but I do want to see Rome, venice, florence. Thank you for your time. |

I've been looking at tickets for the past 6 months, but never know when it's the right time to buy! I found one yesterday for $855 including taxes, but was too nervous to buy! Thanks for helping me out!
Dates: Departure: First week of JUNE, Return: Third week of JUNE (Want to be in Europe for 3 weeks during the beginning of JUNE)
Fly Out Of: Phoenix, Tucson, LAX, San Diego, any other Southern CA airports
Arrive In: London, preferably, but France, Belgium, Germany, other nearby countries are possibilities
Flexibility: Must be in the month of June (last few days of May are okay, too). US Airports must be within driving distance of Tucson or San Diego. European Airports... almost anywhere in West Europe.
Time of Flights: ANYTIME!
Airline, connections, etc.: ANY, cheapest possible.
Student: YES and 20 years old.
Thank you so much! |

| Well the deals are going fast- so I would jump on it fast. If you leave in may, the price is about 200 cheaper as you may have noticed. I found a flight here on student universe from lax-lon nonstop on virgin (excellent deal!) for 736 may 27-june 17. Beat the tourists in London and also hit the best weather too if you can do that. otherwise that 855 was looking pretty good. Hope that helps! |

first, thank you so much for doing this! you're a godsend.
i have a conference july 22-26 in bulgaria, and i want to figure out an adventurous way to get there spending as little money as possible.
my idea is to get the cheapest flight into europe and then just eurorail my way to bulgaria.
departing from any of these airports (in order of preference)
PHL
Newark
JFK
Laguardia
Baltimore
Arriving: doesn't matter at all. maybe somewhere within 3-4 countries away from bulgaria so that i can get a select eurorail pass rather than a full one. (and serbia, montenegro, and bulgaria count as one country to the eurorail, so there is quite a range)
time period: as i said, the only crucial time is the 4-5 days of the conference. i'd like to be abroad about 3 weeks total, but it doesn't matter if its more before the conference or more after.
i don't care about connecting flights or non-stops or any of that. just as cheap as possible!
student: yes! i'll be enrolling in university next fall.
thanks for all your help! |

A good way to save on airfare is to book with groups. Usually you can get a free flight that everyone can split. Meetup has some travel groups but it is kind of unreliable. There is a new site called findagroup (dot ) org that you can meet people on who are also looking to save money. form a group with them and book at group rates.
