Departure: Mid August 2007
Return: Mid September 2007

Out of: RDU, CLT, ATL
To: London or anywhere in the Eurail network

Willing to deal with anything...cheapest price is best

The cheapest I have found is 590 after taxes and some nasty nasty delays

Thanks a ton for your help!

Don't know if this helps - but if you can fly Aer Lingus to Dublin then RyanAir to Italy you may get a very cheap fare in comparison to others. I got a flight to Dublin from Chicago O Hare for 708 round trip July 24 departing and coming back Sept 4th. Ryanair will cost you like 30 bucks i think, depending.

First, as so many other people have said already, you are INCREDIBLE for doing this, and a million million thanks.

Ok, so I'm trying to get from Chicago to London. Here's everything you said you needed.

Departure Date: June 27 (Semi-flexible, but must arrive in London no later than evening on June 2Cool

Return Date: August 13 (very flexible. Any surrounding days are fine)

Departure City: Chicago

Arrival City: London

Flight Times: Totally Flexible

Airline: American Airlines, British Airways (Really anything that is part of the OneWorld Alliance)

Non-Stop/Connections: Doesn't matter

Student Status: Undergraduate Student

London Layover: N/A

Again, you're amazing for doing this. A million thanks for your help!

I'm trying to find the most economical flight to get my son to Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. I assume he will fly in to Brussels.

Departure Date: can be anytime during the last week of August and 1st week of September

Return Date: He has a 2-year course of study - so I don't know when he'll be returning, so I imagine only a 1-way ticket is viable.

Departure City: could be Chicago (where he is now) or any of the following airports which are accessible from our home: Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Newark, NYC, Baltimore, Wash, DC, or Philadelphia (Pitts is the closest but none are more than 4 - 4.5 hours away)

Arrival City: Brussels

Flight Times: Totally Flexible

Airline: Any

Non-Stop/Connections: Doesn't matter

Student Status: Graduate Student

London Layover: possible but he will be bringing the most luggage permited by whatever airline he travels due to the length of his planned stay...so it is probably not practical to do the London/Ryanair combo

I have spent hours trying to figure out the best plan - if you can help me, I would be so appreciative. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give.

I will reiterate what other have said that it is incredibly awesome that you are offering to do this. I have tried, but am finding that I don't have the patience to search through all the sites.

Travel dates: 2 weeks (a little for is fine) in July. Preferably starting after the 4th of July and coming back before the 31st.

Leaving from: GSO, RDU, Charlotte, Chicago

Going to: Berlin, Paris, Rome, Frankfurt or somewhere in France, Italy or Germany

Flight times, Nonstop connections, layovers in London and airlines are all flexible.

Student status: Grad student, but I won't be travelling for school.

Thanks again for offering to help. Whatever you can or can't do is fine since this is your spare time.

Hi,
Thank you so much for doing this, it is really helpful as I have had a lot of trouble finding a cheap flight. I am traveling with 2 other people and we are all students. flight can be any time and any airline carrier. it does not have to be a non-stop flight. it is ok for us to have a layover in london. we would preferably like to go from an airport out of the northeast in the u.s. (such as JFK) and end up in switzerland. We are ending our trip in amsterdam so we would be flying back from near there. the dates are june 20th-august 20th but they are flexible for around a week. Thank you again for your help, its so nice of you to do this for people.

Hello,

Thank you very much this will save me so much time and hassle. It is greatly appreciated. I was getting so frustrated I thought about giving up and going to a travel agent, but I didn't want to pay their fees, and luckily I was able to fall upon your post. So thank you very much.

My boyfriend and I will be going to Romania next summer, our travel dates are flexible anywhere between June 16 and August 20. We can leave out of LAX or ONT no specific times. We have to use Delta airlines because I have skymiles for my ticket, but we need to find a cheap rate for my boyfriend.

We plan on taking a train from Romania to either Catania, Italy or Rome, Italy which ever is cheaper.

Then we plan on flying from either Catania, Italy or Rome, Italy to either LAX or ONT whichever is cheaper.

We do not care if we have connections, and we are both students.

Also, I have found some information on International Student ID's are these recommended? Or what are the benefits of these?

Again Thank you Very much!!!!

This is so great. Thanks for doing this! We need all the help we can get...

1) Sometime between Mar. 7 - Mar 16. We'd like to stay as long as possible ... for the least amount of money. We're college students... so I think that explains a lot...

2) Would like to fly out of Boston Logan, but we'd be willing to go with the Manchester Airport in NH.

3) We can only leave on or after the 7th, and need to be back by the 16th.

4) Time: Anything goes. As long as it's cheap.

5) Carrier: Again, doesn't matter.

6) I mean, non-stop would be cool, but I certainly don't expect it and we wouldn't pay more.

7) Yes, we're both college students.

Cool Layover anywhere is fine.

So here's the plan... we don't really have one. We just don't know where to start. But I have a few thoughts:

Plan A) We'd like to fly to either Germany, Switzerland, or Holland. Whichever's cheapest. We were planning on spending the week checking out these three countries. We don't care at all which airport we arrive at/depart from.

Plan B) If this is cheaper, then we're all for it. Fly in to either the UK or Ireland and spend the week there. Again, airports... doesn't matter. Our first priority is to get there.

My BIG question, though, is when to buy? Will prices keep skyrocketing? Or should I wait for that moment when it drops suddenly before shooting back up?

I'd love to hear your opinion, some advice, what price range you think we should consider most reasonable, etc. Anything you have to offer would be invaluable because... let's face it, we're complete amateurs.

So thanks! We'll be eagerly awaiting your reply. Smile

Hi Wilson,

Thank you so much for doing this. I am looking for a flight from San Francisco to anywhere in Germany. The cheapest I found is $948 with Aer Lingus to Dublin and then using ryan's air. Is there anything cheaper than this. I am looking to fly June 16 and returning August 18. I am flexible and it does not matter where I land in Europe more sightseeing for me.
