Will be doing a study abroad in Rome starting Jan. 19 and was wondering about buying a one way ticket due to the fact that I wouldn't know exactly when I'd be coming home. (expecting to want to stay on for a few weeks after the semester.) I'm concerned about the re-ticketing fee.
I'd like to leave from Boston but could consider JFK.
Would consider London layover, etc.
thanks for your help. |

| Yeah thats a bad idea. Its up to you, but you would have to buy the other one way ticket from the same place as you did the other ticket because most agents dont sell tickets from europe if they dont have a ticket on filer from the US as well. Post your details on the airfare area and ill see what I can do. Ill go into more detail in a bit on other options. |

| It will be expensive, but it can be done. A friend of mine flew to Switzerland one-way and returned from Italy using a one-way ticket. Your cheaper option my be to get an open-jaw ticket where you will fly into Rome and leave from London or Amsterdam. You will only have a couple of weeks, so an open-jaw might be your best option. |
