For those who have finished their summer break already, we encourage you to write your experiences and trip info here.
Sharing your vital information will benefit your fellow users in planning for next year's spring break or maybe summer vacation. You can write almost anything for example:
Do's and Don’ts
Funny moments
Points of interest
Etc...
This forum is a great resource with infinite possibilities, I hope that it can be better utilized in the future as a reference point but for now we must build our database and that all starts right here with you guys. Spread the love.
Thanks in advance. _________________ Harold W, Asia Moderator & Campus Ambassador |

i have a good expereince in Manila and even got a bargained Bedspace for only $67 dollars for a month. Very Friendly staff in Manila very accessible in the heart of manila Philippines very near University of Santo Tomas and intramuros. Very cheap boarding and meals All brand new beds and tiolet and baths i was also surprised of their friendly staff with WIFI accesss. They even have itirenary for travel within manila. and can easily get your laundry done in a day.
Altough they function as a Male dorm but their second floor is open to transients and backpackers is located at 1372 Brickly condos Espana cor Centro st. Sampaloc manila with phone +63 09275802489. Very accesible to all schools since i'm contemplating to study nursing within the manila universities.
GOOD price for safe and clean hostel. |

I spent my summer in Shanghai. To any travelers going to China: go more than once as it changes constantly! For example, Shanghai has seen a massive amount of investment (I literally saw a building go up in 6 months!) and wealth (especially after China adopted the floating yuan-dollar rate). China has a great culture and historical background, and there's always something to do in the big cities.
Cost of living is really cheap- taxis, subway, local food, grocery store, clubs, etc. Housing varies depending on which part of the city you stay. It's easy to find housing and housemates, as many foreigners stay for a few months up to a year on average. The expat network is kind of like a city within a city so it is possible to get by with a few Chinese phrases. Unfortunately many expats do...
I like to explore, hop onto a bus and get off where ever. Since the city has a strong local aspect, it provides a sense of relief when I do step out of the "bubble". |
