Hi, Im an English student trying to get to Brazil Carnival in Feb 2008. Iv booked my flight to New York, and have found a cheap enough flight to Miami. Now I need to get to Brazil, cheaply.
Iv looked at flighing into Peru, then Peru to Brazil and this is way cheaper than flying direct to Brazil.
Can anyone help me with some suggestions on best route to take and cheapest flight deals? Also looking for possible joinees to share my journey.
I speak a very small amount of Spanish, Portugese, Japanese, and I am proficent in British Sign Language.
Wow, think thats enough info for now.

I did a quick search online and it seems it would be about $100 cheaper to fly out of NYC than to fly out of MIA. It is going to be difficult to find a trip that flies into another country to get to Brazil. It is also going to increase the chance of your luggage getting lost or missing a connecting flight if you switch airlines on your trip. I would look into flying into Sao Paulo and then taking a bus to Rio.
If you plan on being in Rio during your trip, you should get by on using a English and a little Spanish/Portuguese. I would start looking at finding housing now since housing goes quick during Carnival. |

| I would look at StudenUniverse, Kayak, and Farecast for starters. |
