I was wondering if, in your searches of European flights, you've noticed which cities would cost less to travel into. I am really just interested in GETTING to Europe, the cheapest possible way. Western Europe is where I would really like to go, so cities in Italy, Greece, France, Spain, etc. would be preferred.

I want to travel there for the majority of the summer, after June 12 and coming back by August 4. I am very flexible on these dates; again, leaving whichever will be the cheapest is my highest priority.

So anytime this summer (2008), out of Tulsa or Oklahoma City, or from a US city that would be cheaper (I can drive there), and into any city in (preferably) Western Europe.

Any flight time.
Any airline.
Any number of connections.
I am a student.
And it is perfectly alright to layover in London.

Thank you so SO much, it is incredible that you would spend so much time on this. Trying to jump into travel in Europe for the first time is very intimidating. I really, REALLY appreciate it! Very Happy

Have a great day!
Alicia

My boyfriend and I are going on a backpacking trip to Europe this summer. We want to leave on or around June 20th or so. We would like to return Sept. 1st or so. I'm having a hard time finding a cheap flight I'm getting about 1500 per ticket. We'll be leaving from Portland, Oregon however Seattle, Washington would work fine also. We will both be 18 and students just graduating from highschool. We want to travel around and hopefully start in Italy, however the cheapest ticket we can find anywhere else would work also. Can you help, Id really apprechiate it?

Thank you!

Jen

Hello!

I am looking to go to Madrid this Christmas break. As you can imagine my budget is somewhat limited..However since the availability of discount airlines in Europe is quite high, a flight to pretty much anywhere in Europe would be fine. This includes pretty much anywhere in Spain, Lisbon, London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Dublin etc.. Madrid of course is preferred. I can fly out of anywhere in NYC, but other than that I can fly out of CLT, ATL, BNA, TYS and anywhere in the general area.

I would like to fly out around Dec 27 - Jan 3. Jan 1-2 is preferred. School starts for me on Jan 14th, so arriving sometime around Jan 9 - Jan 13 would work. Jan 11-12 would be best.

I am a student, and I do not have a problem with extensive, unpleasant layovers. I have found some flights from NYC to MAD for around $500, which by all means is cheap, but I'm wondering if I can get a ticket for any cheaper than that.

Any help will be received with praise. Thanks for your time!

First of all thank you so much for doing this!

Some of my friends and I are thinking about going to Italy this summer. We're very flexible in terms of dates, times, and airports. We were hoping to go May 21-25 until May 28-31. We'd like to be there for about a week.

We all live in MA so Logan would be nice to use, but if flying out of NY, NH, or CT would be cheaper then we're more than willing to drive the extra hour(s) to save some money. We don't care where we land in Italy. We plan on staying in Northern Italy so if we can land near there thats perfect, if not we'll take a train. Speaking of trains if landing in France, and then taking a train the rest of the way would be cheaper then we're down for that too.

We've done some searching and the best we've found is 830 dollars roundtrip from BOS to ROM. It's not awful, but we'd still like to find something cheaper if possible.

I have 2 other quick questions for you;
1. Would it be cheaper to wait and fly in late august rather than late may?
2. Should we try and book the tickets asap or should we wait a few more months and see if we can get any deals. Whenever we've traveled before we've booked tickets months and months in advance. We were thinking about buying these in January. However, I know student universe puts out a lot of last minute deals. When do you think we should book them?

Once again thanks so much!! My email address is hubbardlej@ccsu.edu =].
Hope you had a wonderful Turkey Day!

Les

I am trying to get to London, Hannover, and Prague this spring Mar 29-apr12 dates not so flexible but cities are would like to fly out of MCI(KC), STL or ORD (Chicago). Cheapest i found was $573 on AA ORD-LHR. I found cheaper last week but the fairs jumped 40 bucks. You seem to have this down pat so i thought i would ask the pro. Thanks for your help you are awesome for helping people out like this. Cheers

Hi and thanks you so much for doing this!

I've been trying to find a flight to Paris (CDG) for under 1,000 (after taxes) and haven't been having any luck.

I need to arrive on June 1st and will be coming back around June 31st, but am able to come back a few days earlier if necessary. It is also fine to leave May 31st, so long as I arrive in Paris on the 1st.

I prefer to depart from SFO, but I can arrange to leave from just about any airport in California. If necessary, I may be able to leave from LGA (New York).

Any flight times are fine as well as airlines.

lay overs are fine, but hopefully you can find a trip that will be less than 24 hours long.

I am a student

As long as laying over in london and taking other carriers is easy enough for someone completely new to Europe to do, then sure!

Hopefully you can help me out! Thanks again in advance!

Thanks!

Hey. Thanks for the help in advance. I'm gonna be going to Europe in around mid may and leaving around the end of July or beginning of August. I'm hoping to fly into Italy (Rome possibly, but very flexible) and fly out of England (London or Manchester). I'm really flexible in terms of dates, times, cities, layovers, companies and everything really. So if there's anything that you can find that I can't, I would really appreciate it. All I want to do is get the cheapest flights possible like most everyone. The one that I'm most concerned about is the Italy flight, so if it means getting a one way flight there and then working out how to get back once I'm there, I'm cool with that. Thanks a lot!

Where are you flying from? Also- I think your best bet is to do a round trip ticket to London- and another ticket to Italy from there, but that is your call.

Sorry. I'll be flying out of Vancouver, Canada. And if it will be cheaper I don't mind going Italy via London on the way there.
Thanks.

Hey!
I'm looking to fly from New york or New Jersey on the 12th( or the 13-14th) of march to Rome and return on the 24 or 25th. I would rather a night flight if the plane is departing on the 12th. And Boston is also in option...Whatever is extremely cheap.

Thanks A lot!

Hi,

My name is Pete and I am trying to get to Iceland, obviously as cheaply as possible.

-I would like to depart Mar. 22nd and Return the 26th
-I can fly out of Chicago or Detroit
-I am actually pretty flexible with the dates above. I can leave at anytime after the 20th of March, and I need to be back by the 30th. I would like to spend 4 days there.
-Times of flights- flexible.
-Preferred airline carrier: flexible
-Non-stop if possible or connections (and price you are willing to pay extra if non-stop) as long as its not more then 3 connections
-Student status (if you are or not) i am a student
-OK to layover in London then take a low cost carrier from London the rest of the way- e.g. Ryan Air etc. : yes.

Thank you very much. Please contact me if you have any good news.
