My best friend is getting married in May in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and naturally, I'd let to be there for his big day.
So far, I haven't been able to find any tickets from StudentUniverse (which I love!) to PV and those that I'm finding on other sites are running in the $400 range, which was a little more than I was planning on spending.
My question is two fold: Is there another less touristy airport nearby that might be cheaper (and more available) to fly into, with good transportation to the city? And if not, is this the type of place where better deals would crop up at a later date and I should wait before purchasing my ticket?

| Hey, I hate to say it but I think the $400 dollar range to Puerto Vallarta might be the best deal you'll find. I tried getting better deals through Tepic, Nayarit (2 to 3 hours away by bus) and Guadalajara and was not happy with the price. If you do find something cheaper I'd really like to know.
