| I am at one of the service academies and will be going to Europe this summer. I'm going to take a military flight (free) but I don't know when I can actually get a seat on one. Are reservations a must for hostels or will I be able to get by with just keeping a list of addresses and trying to get a rack when I get there? Thanks! |

That depends on what cities and days you will be going. Most times yes that would be fine, especially in the middle of the week. One thing though is if your going to a city with a major even like any of the world cup cities at that time, then it may already be too late to even get a hostel.
But thats rare, for the most part just bring two or three addresses and numbers/directions and you can walk in and get something. Most even allow you in when full and just pull out a cot if push comes to shove even- there very decent people in Europe! |

| Like wilson said, you can just walk-in and get a room most of the time. It is better to have a reservation though. I would just find a few places you want to stay at and then book the room the day before you leave. Just for your infor, hostels are fuller on the weekend. |
