If I purchase my tickets through Student Universe will I be able to chose my seats for my flight?
Also, will I be able to check in and print my ticket in advance or will I have to check in and print the ticket at the self check in kiosk at the airport?
Thanks. |

I will answer my own question. After purchasing my ticket I received the itinerary. Student Universe says to contact the airline, the airlines web site says to contact who you bought the ticket from, so I contacted Student Universe and my seats were changed without a problem.
It appears that I will have to print the e-ticket from the kiosk at the airport. |

I just bought an American Airlines ticket through Student Universe and was able to do everything online at AA.com.
This steps might vary depending on your airlines, but this is what I did:
- I sign in to my AAdvantage account
- Go to Reservations => My Reservations => Find Reservations
- Put in the record locator/confirmation or flight dates/times
- Then, I selected a seat and added my frequent flyer number
My reservation was on AA system within minutes of purchase from Student Universe.
For any airlines:
You can print your boarding pass online 24-hr before departure at airline's website as long as it's an e-ticket. All you need is name & record locator (which is provided by Student Universe - it's the second email with Virtually There link). |

I purchased the ticked with United. I had to call them to get my Mileage Plus number attached to the flights so I could find it online. Before doing that I could not access it online. Now all I can do on ual.com is view the itinerary.
I am familiar with AA web site, as I have used it many times, so I know its very easy to pick a seat there. Don’t fly United as frequently, so I am not sure if this is limited because of how I booked or just the airlines web site, to me right now it appears to be the way I purchased the ticket.
Because of what I see when I log in I am skeptical if I will be able to print the boarding pass at home.
Seems like things could very from airline to airline. |
