Hi, my girlfriend and I are planning on a trip to Morocco and are coming from hawaii, so I am planning on stopping in Dublin for a few days then maybe taking a ferry or other transportation to get to Uk and stay in London then take a discount airline to Marrakech, and go to merzouga for a while and anything else anyone recommends in Morocco. I want to take a ferry from Morocco to Spain and take a train to Barcelona. From Barcelona I want to take a train to Paris from there return home to hawaii.
I have never been to Europe or Morocco, and would appreciate any help with the transportation where to find the transportation and where to catch the ferries and what not, actually any advice about what to do in the places and how to get threre at all will help, thanks so much, as I am a student I would like to keep costs as low as possible. Thanks so much for your help! |

So your rough itinerary looks like this:
Home - Dublin - London - Marrakech - Mergouza - Barcelona - Paris - Home
How much time would you like to spend in Europe and Morocco? For Morocco, you could also visit Fes, Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, or Safi, depending on how long you stay.
If you are concerned about costs, you may want to consider cutting out Dublin. It's cheaper to fly into London and saves money on traveling in between the two islands. Save Ireland for another trip.
To save money on flying, rework your itinerary to:
Home - (Dublin) - London - Paris - Barcelona - Morocco - Paris or Marseille* - Home
*Marseille (airport code: MRS) is closer. Check both Paris and Marseille - choose the cheapest.
Transportation:
You'll be using a mixture of air and train travel along with ferries. For planes, use Student Universe, Sidestep ( www.sidestep.com ), Kayak ( www.kayak.com ), or Whichbudget ( www.whichbudget.com ). There are many other sites, but I can't think of them right now. For trains, use Eurostar ( www.eurostar ) for London-Paris trains and the SNCF ( www.voyages-sncf.com ) for Paris-Barcelona.
Here's a good site about Spain-Morocco ferries -> [link]
For tips on what to do in these destinations, check the destination guides ( [link] ) as well as the Things To Do in Europe thread, located near the top of the forum. _________________ Certified Franceologist. |
