| I'm going to Venezuela in January and wondered if anyone had some insight on the political situation down there and weather or not the country is really safe for foreigners. It's been about a year since I've been there so I'm curious to find out what has changed. If anyone has been to Caracas, Venezuela recently I'd appreciate your input. Thanks |

 I think going to Venezuela right now is a great idea. I have heard from people that it is tense but not out of hand down there. I'm confident an American student wouldn't face too much scrutiny, however you should stay on your guard while your down there. It will be a great experience nonetheless. |
